I've been back in Fresno just over 2 weeks now. I was really stressing about leaving Rockwall because I didn't want to leave Eric there. I guess I better explain that huh?

Eric's Final Journey
You may have noticed that all my adventure's involve my husband, Eric. This man has shown me the world, quite literally. He became ill on Christmas Eve 2013. On his 33rd day in the hospital he peacefully left our world. On the 41st day he was taken off of life support. While I had his hand on my chest as it raced in both fear and heartbreak, I had my hand on his chest as I felt his final heartbeat. The man who had given me enough stories to fill several books had left me.

Road Trip
We left Christmas Eve to go to Florida to pick up Eric's parents and move them in with us. We had some neat stuff planned! Eric booked us a room right on Bourbon street. Beautiful view honestly, but we were both too sick to enjoy it. We slept almost 20 hours before hitting the road again. We did manage to listen to great jazz between naps. Eric said we'll plan on coming back for about 5 days because there's a WWII museum and an aquarium we really want to see. And naturally we have to try the food! So we'll be back once his parents get settled in.

Blizzcon & Family Time
Blizzcon is something Eric and I have wanted to do for 6 years. Every year we queue up to buy tickets. They sell out in less than a second, but you never know until about 20 minutes later whether or not you were fast enough to get some. Well this year Eric was fast enough! While it's true we probably weren't financially ready for a big trip like this, we agree we needed one. It was worth it!

Perot Science Museum
It was a good trip to the Perot Science Museum. We watched "Wildest Weather in the Solar System" and Earth was not on it. Come to think of it, neither was Pluto. I guess dwarf planets aren't good enough. Rude. The first two planets are too hot to survive. One smells like farts, according to my husband, because the air is made up of nitrogen which turns into methane gas and something else for it's weather, and it rains liquid methane. Actually I think that was Titan; Saturn's big moon. Either way... stinky! None of them would be possible to live on, but I guarantee there's some engineers out there working on a way to excavate diamonds off of Neptune. The same way it rains methane on Titan is the same way it rains diamonds on Neptune. Charcoal is in the clouds. The movie made the rain looks so pretty! But ouch painful. I missed a lot of the movie because some lady decided she wanted to sit behind and have a full conversation with her 2 year old. A loud one.
